Very pleasant staff with fantastic knowledge. Surprisingly for a small shop it has a huge variety of cheeses from local producers to artisanal cheeses from abroad.

An amazing place in every sense!
From the astounding range of high quality cheeses on display, to the boundless knowledge of the proprietor and staff, to the sublime selection of cheeses for our four-person board for lunch, this was a feast for the senses.

Without a doubt the most surprising (in a good way) lunch I've had in many years, with the most delicious and appetising selection of flavours, textures and tastes, not just from the cheeses, but also in the fabulous artisanal sourdough bread, expertly toasted to complement the tastes and texture on the platter, same going for the biscuits, olives and chutney on the side.

You may be one of those people who is never surprised by anything - if so, Goo Cheese might not float your boat. But if you want something adventurous and very different that will make your day, this is definitely somewhere you should take the time (and pleasure) to visit.

This has to be the best cheese shop I have been in. What a wonderful selection of cheeses, all in perfect condition. The couple who own the shop are also wonderful. They will spend as much time as you want taking you through the cheeses, understanding your preferences and making recommendations. Best of all, they are very generous with the tastings! I could honestly have happily spent all afternoon (and lots of money!) here. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in Hebden Bridge. Wow. Just wow.

Popped in here as my wife wanted a coffee.

We decided to get a sharing cheeseboard and what a great decision that was.

The cheese and accompaniments were fabulous but the key experience was the owner giving us a fascinating insight into each cheese - how it was made and the taste notes. Absolutely priceless.

Beautiful small paradise of varieties of delicious, yummy, gooey cheeses run by lovely family. A worth and must experience when visiting Hebden Bridge. Had a cheese board for 1 person with wine and it was worth every single bite. They explained in detail about each cheese on the board, the order to taste them and how each one was unique. Absolutely delightful experience❤️
