St Elizabeth

Made at Holker Farm in Cartmel village this is a fabulous washed-rind sheep’s cheese.  The tasty, rich  milk of the Lacaune breed of sheep produces an incredible flavour.  As St Elizabeth cheese breaks down it varies from soft with savoury, meaty flavours to a firmer texture with a creamy, rich sweetness.
