Bleu des Basques

Le Bleu des Basques made in the southern French Basque region, in the Pyrenees mountains. These verdant hills, known for their lush pastures and wild flowers are where the sheep graze, and this gives the milk its complexity, subtlety and lightness. Bleu des Basques is a well flavoured cheese, matured in caves to develop an earthy spiciness married to a subtle fruitiness.  It delivers a wonderful balanced yet deep flavour that dances on the palate. Enjoy with a sweet Sauternes or good Port.
