Mozzarella is a white soft cheese, formed into a ball, with a high moisture content and packed in brine to keep it fresh. This mozzarella has nice fresh taste and texture and so can be used for cooking or eaten in salads etc. However Mozzarella Filante is more often used in cooking because it has a more compact texture.
