Northern Blue

Strong, steely and sweet, in other words, Northern! A powerhouse blue cheese with serious credentials. Deliciously creamy and luxuriously more-ish, this cheese is is a strong arm to success.Northern Blue was launched in 2019 as the more powerful and more mature brother to Yorkshire Blue. Aged for a minimum of 10 weeks, a stronger strain of Penicillium Roquefort is used to achieve a more robust blue flavour. The launch batch was taken to Bergamo in Italy to the World Cheese Awards and lo and behold they came back with a Silver medal! Northern Blue is recognisable as a Shepherds Purse signature blue cheese and its extra strength will also please those who like a bit more bite to their blue
